Party Over Here!

Christmas Cookies: Gingerbread Men

Merry Christmas Everybody! I’d like to introduce you some new friends of mine. These party animals arrived at my doorstep loaded with holiday cheer.

When I saw those big smiling faces, I told them to come right on in—and boy am I glad I did. Not only were they cheerful, they smelled amazingly good. I wonder if they were wearing that new VIP cologne by Usher?

Christmas Cookie: Christmas Tree

These guys really know how to par-tay. They actually brought their own decorations. Can you believe it? This dope tree was all tricked out and ret to go. I just love the garland—it’s yummy!

Christmas Cookies: Snowmen

There are lots of parties to go to this time of year, so these guys always travel with a posse. I had a blast chillaxin with my homies. I think these two are vegetarian.

Christmas Cookies: Christmas Bells

We had so much fun I was afraid that 5 O would be called. The music go so loud at one point that I thought I heard sirens—but it was actually bells.

I’m telling you, these guys party like it’s 1996—and we all remember how much fun that was.

Because we are BFFs, I have something to confess. There are crumbs strewn from one end of this house to the other, but I’m too tired to mess with cleaning up now. I’ll deal with it in the morning. Right now, all I feel like doing is drinking a nice tall glass of milk and calling it a night.

If these guys show up at your door, I only have one piece of advice for you—let them in! You won’t regret it. Trust me.

I’d like to thank Jana, Tim and the wonderful folks at Nadler’s Bakery for making this sugar-laden event possible.

Now THAT’s my kind of party!! Wow, each one of those looks like a real work of art! And forget about the crumbs, just hope you have enough Alka-seltzer on hand. But I’m sure it was worth it. Enjoy, Tom, and Merry Christmas!!

    • Tom Russell Says:

Hi Eddie, This is the best kind of party to have. The only hangover you have to deal worry about, is the one over your belt.

I hope you have a Merry Christmas too. My mom arrives in Houston tomorrow, so I’m off to a great start!

    • • • Wow, those are works of art! You better be careful with all those goodies, don’t want that scale to start moaning. 😀

    Merry Christmas Tom!

    • Tom Russell Says:

Hey there. Yes, they are wonderful—and tasty—works of art. I am being careful. I have hidden the scale until after the holiday’s. 🙂

I highly recommend this weight control method to everyone. I figure I’ll find the scale sometime around February.

I know you are concerned about my wellbeing, but are you also trying to get me to share my cheesecake?

  3. Barbara Says:

HaHa…oh what FUN! Those cookies are beautiful and to quote my lovely grandaughter…so tasty…and SWEET!!! I hope you enjoyed every mouthful. Have a Happy Christmas and enjoy your Mother. Hugs my friend! 🙂

    • Tom Russell Says:

Hi Barb, Your granddaughter articulated the situation perfectly! Tasty and sweet is exactly what they are.

Mom arrives today! I’m SO excited. She’s doing great and I’m sure we’ll spend a lot of time visiting.

Merry Christmas to you and yours as well. See you soon.

    • Tom Russell Says:

Merry Christmas Jim! I’m glad you enjoyed the cookies. As my friend Barb’s granddaughter would say, “they are tasty and sweet.” I would add that they are also colorful and very entertaining to look at—oh, and they go really well with coffee. 🙂

I will give mom and Bill a hug when I see them today. Love you too.

  6. Wendy Says:

Can’t go wrong with SUGAR. Merry Christmas.

    • Tom Russell Says:

Hi Wendy, You are correct. It’s virtually impossible to go wrong with sugar, that’s why I like it so much.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you.

  7. Carla Says:

Suger overload but oh such pretty BFF’s and they had to leave the party so soon. LOL

Hope you had a Merry and Restful Christmas!
And May your New Year bring you Peace and Joy.

    • Tom Russell Says:

Sugar overload? Is that even possible? Yep, those guys were here and gone in no time. 🙂 Now all I am left with are memories and crumbs. 🙂

Merry After Christmas and Happy New Year to you.
