The Peeps and I Tri Something New

Tri-County Quilt Guild Road Trip: Tri It, You'll Like It

In case you didn’t know, the Peeps and I love an adventure—especially a quilty one.

This weekend’s quiltalicious adventure takes us to the Tri-County Quilt Guild Show. A fabulous event put on by the diversely talented members of the Tri-County Quilt Guild.

This is a wonderful show and the Peeps and I are anxious to attend. We love this show because it allows us to reconnect with friends, see gorgeous quilts and embrace the deliciousness that each vendor so generously brings to this delightful show.

The Tri-County Guild pulls out all the stops when it comes to making their show memorable and from what I’ve seen online and heard through the grapevine, this year’s show is going to be a doozy.

The members of the guild welcome you with open arms and radiant smiles as soon as you come through the door. The quilts are displayed in a beautiful setting with ample lighting so you can revel in all the glorious details. If a warm welcome and gorgeous quilts aren’t enough to tempt you to into going, then take a look at their/MY Raffle Quilt.

It’s a real show-stopper—but you can’t buy tickets. Well, that’s not exactly true. You actually can buy tickets, but I would prefer that you didn’t.

You see . . . if you buy tickets, then you could win MY quilt and you don’t want that—now do you? Seriously?

Some people have already told me the quilt is theirs, but I assured them that they were wrong. It’s mine. Really!

So . . . if you feel compelled to spend exorbitant amounts of money on tickets—which I urge you to do—then please make sure you put MY name on them. Thank you. You won’t regret this decision.

Along with highlighting the talents of its guild members, the Tri-County Show spotlights an area quilt artist. This year’s show features Houston quilt legend, Libby Lehman. Libby and her amazing quilts will be on display during the show. You can see Libby’s work up close and she will be there to answer questions—and if you are like me—you have lot of questions. This is an unparalleled opportunity and is definitely worth the price of admission.

Trust me, I will be basking in the beauty of her quilts and savoring every drop of wisdom she showers upon us. Can you tell I’m a fan?

Okay, I think I’m done—for now. The only thing left to do is round-up the Peeps, grab the Magic Camera and head on over there.

I look forward to seeing you at the show!

We can’t wait to see you, your peeps AND your magic camera, Tom! As for the raffle quilt, I’m not buying even ONE ticket, (well, not in my own name, anyway) – since you pulled my name for the last one…Did I say thank you??

    See you soon –
    Diane

Hi Diane, The Peeps and I are looking forward to seeing you at the Show. I’ve heard that the Raffle ticket story. I’m happy to hear that, because the quilt is coming home with me!

Yes, you did thank me for drawing your name at the last Raffle. I will never forget the expression on your face. It was priceless! 🙂

On the 22nd of this month, our little group had the privilege of spending a morning with Libby Lehman. She gave us lots of information and there is nothing like seeing her work up close. Enjoy the show for all of us.

Hi Delia, Libby is extremely talented, knowledgable, generous and busy. She is an excellent teacher and so inspirational. You are lucky to be able to spend such quality time with her.

I will be thinking of you while the Peeps and I enjoy our adventure.

Thanks for dropping by and have a wonderful day!

Glad that you are going to “tri” it out, Tom! Since you didn’t toot your own horn, I will. We were so thankful to have Tom as our featured artist at our first show in 2010. Looking forward to having a big crowd this weekend. If you miss out, you’ll have to wait until 2014 until the next one!

Stop by and see the bed turning at 10, 12 and 2 both days.

    • Tom Russell Says:

Hi Lisa, Oh yeah, the Peeps and I are ready to Tri the show on for size. I’m expecting a big crowd, gorgeous quilts, friendly faces and most of all, I expect to come home with the Raffle Quilt.

We’ll definitely drop by for the bed turning. See you soon.

    H A V E F U N ! ! !

    • Tom Russell Says:

Hey You!! Yep, another trip. Another glorious gathering of quilts and quilters.

This is quilt show season in Texas and there is something to do almost every weekend. It’s usually not a question of if you go to a quilt show? It’s more like which quilt show do you go to?

Fun is the agenda of the day. One day you’ll be a part of the fun and adventure—I just know it!

  5. Carla Says:

So glad I got to see you Friday at the Show. Well you saw who really won the raffle quilt…. It wasn’t me and it wasn’t you… Can you believe it? LOL There was some awesome quilts hanging for all to see and examine. Wow. Maybe if I start now I might have a quilt for the 2014 show. HaHa.
    Thanks for the Hugs.

Hey there! It was wonderful to see you at the show. Your smile always lights up the room and my heart. It was great to spend a little time with you.

I got so caught up in the show, I didn’t realize I left without my quilt. Who won my quilt? Was it Diane? The same Diane that wasn’t going to have her name of a single ticket—Diane?

I am sorry that neither you or I won the quilt, because it is a beauty, but I’m sure whoever (not Diane) will enjoy it in their home as much as we would have. It is definitely a beauty.

I’ll be looking for your quilt in 2014. I know it will be as amazing as you are.
