That’s Showbiz

It's Showtime Opener

It’s official, Buckeroos and Buckerettes!

My episode of The Quilt Show with Ricky Tims and Alex Anderson will be airing on Monday, July 2nd. Yippeee!

Here’s the THS on my episode. While promoting a previous segment of their show at the 2010 International Quilt Festival, Ricky and Alex (shown above) asked if I’d be interested in filming a full episode at their Colorado studio in August of 2011.

Without hesitation, I said “Yes.” We all shook hands, hugged and celebrated in the joy of our reconnection at Festival. You can see by the looks on their faces, that my decision made them both very happy.

Oh . . . and it made me real happy too.

Because I’m psychic, I know what you’re thinking.

You’re wondering what I my episode is going to be about.

You’re wondering if it is going to be about applique, piecing, quilting, embroidery, gardening, photography, collecting or song writing.

Unfortunately, if you were wondering any those things, then your mind was wandering way off in the wrong direction, but if you really want to know what my episode it about, then take a look below.

Magic Camera Monday: Buttons_4

That’s right kids. I’m covering embellishments. Isn’t that cool?

Magic Camera Monday: Beads_2

My episode is divided into a number of segments, but the two major portions focus on embellishing with beads and buttons.

I offer viewers tips, techniques and advice on working with embellishments. Along with all the technical stuff, you’ll get to see dozens of ways of creating magic across the surface of your quilt.

I am so excited about this late-breaking quilty news, I can barely stand it and can hardly believe this is actually happening. I’d pinch myself to make sure I’m not dreaming—but I bruise easily.

The Quilt Show staff told me that more information will be forthcoming as they get closer to the air date. As soon as I learn more, I’ll share it with you.

I hope you’ll mark your calendars so that you can share in my celebration!

. . . . . . . . . . .

I still have more news to share, but have some Magic Camera Monday business to take care of before I can let you in on it.

I went to the Fort Bend County Master Gardeners Demonstration Garden yesterday and boy, do I have some amazing things to show you.

    • • • Well, it’s about time! Sure hope you’ll be able to share the link with us again. Otherwise, I may have to purchase a real membership just to see you in action.

Looking forward to the show and seeing your smiling face again.

    • Wendy Drew Says:

The membership is worth every penny, at least for me. I get overwhelmed with inspiration when I watch the shows.

    • Tom Russell Says:

Hi Jayardi, If they promote this show like the last one, I should be able to provide a preview link to my episode. I think that is part of the information that is to come.
